I have a 1999 Hyundai Accent and when you drive it. It jerks like crazy shakes and jumps back like the tranny is going out.... problem is I changed the fluid only 14K miles ago... the car has 83K on it. fluid looks clear almost pink, anyone have ideas?

Hopefully you have the correct type and level of fluid in it. You must warm the engine and tranny to operating temperature and let it run in neutral or park (see service manual for yours) on a level surface to correctly check it. I like to cycle through all gears and back into neutral for 30 seconds each also. Example: Park 30 seconds......shift into 1st 30 seconds......shift into 2nd 30 seconds......shift into drive 30 seconds....... shift into reverse 30 seconds etc.....etc.... and back into park. That fluid type is very-very important and you cannot use a substitute! Check all of this and let us know! Also, did you change the tranny filter as well? It could be plugged? Rugged

Two things:
1. Are you sure it's not an engine miss you're feeling? Sounds like that may be your problem.
2. Pink colored trans fluid indicates it may have coolant mixed with it. Think leaking trans fluid cooler in the radiator.
wow the 1999 Hyundai Accent was not one of their best cars and now that it is 10 years old and starting to go is it even worth dumping money into to kepp running I mean a brand new one can be had for 8-9 grand with a full warranty

Having that tranny rebuilt or replaced is going to cost him at least $2,000 minimum. If that is what it is?
