The problem with these gimicky themed restaurants is that almost all the effort and expense goes into the gimick - and not the food.

On the edge of the tarmac at Greenwood Lake Airport, in West Milford, N.J. can be found not only one of the last remaining relics from the pioneer days of commercial air travel, but also the most unique pilot’s lounge you’re likely to see. The plane is a Constellation, a model of early commercial airline capable of intercontinental travel. Today she goes by “the Connie of Greenwood Lake,” and she’ll be the first thing you’ll notice about the airport, as you make your way up the inclined roadway to the parking area. The second thing you’ll likely notice is that this old bird is literally part of the airport’s main building.

It’s a plane, it’s a restaurant, it’s an office! | Healthy Living | Born Again

I was in the Connie a couple times during the 1990s when it was a pilot shop, looks like they have renovated it extensively.
