Of course I am asking for trained and professional pilots of a regular airline, either charter or brand with enough hours of flying that planes: Airbus A330. This so far what I have noticed while flying in an Airbus A330 (as a passanger, of course):
- Overpowered engines at take offs? As usual, A330 takes off at max. speed but 5000 ft above or just few minutes later, the engines cut off throttle suddenly, autopilot maybe? Then, some time later engine sounds increased. Happened once.
- Hard to trim? I noticed once how the plane took off with a little more than "average" vertical speed and in a short period of time, the vertical speed was lowered, again: autopilot effect?
- Just little more unstable in turbulence than Boeing 777? Again, with some turbulence in Atlantic Ocean, the engines sound suddenly stopped or sounded like if were stopped and suddenly sounded loudly.
Those are just my impressions while flying on Airbus A330. I want to read your opinions.
PS: By the way, a little poll: Which plane is better for you: A330 or B777?
It's no more difficult than any other modern jet. I'm guessing you don't fly very much as the "issues" you have observed occur on Boeings as well. It's six of one, half a dozen of another.
