Why was this person allowed to work when he was drunk. Hope he was disciplined.

You assume people knew he was drunk. "Allowed" to work, yeah right. No one noticed.

Ok, I guess that if someone is drunk, they don't always show it, or it takes a while. This isn't the first time that I have seen this happening, so maybe baggage handlers should buddy up or something. Charges should be filed - coming to work drunk isn't a crime i guess.

Ya think?

Certain actions that involve employment would be illegal if conducted while intoxicated. For example, flying - remember that Northwest flight to Fargo many years ago now? But baggage handling while intoxicated? Why on Earth would that be a criminal matter? Grounds for dismissal? Absolutely. A crime? Please.

What is the cargo hold like? I assume no windows, and very cramped? It must be like being jailed in a tiny cell?

I guess he was lucky that it was pressurized during the whole flight!

This is not the first time someone has fallen asleep in the baggage compartment and went for a flight. Several years ago a security guard that was suppose to be guarding a Korean Airlines 747 passenger jet at JFK decided to take a little snooze in the bulk cargo compartment. We let him out at ANC several hours later.
