I also can't believe someone has never heard of Jet Blue.
I'm pretty much like, if Jet Blue doesn't go there, at least for part of the journey, I'm not going.
They are by far my favorite airline. Very reliable. Always on time (on the flights I've been on, barring unexpected weather in flight), all personnel the utmost professional, aircraft clean. Flight attendants friendly and courteous. And yes, blue chips and TV
Oh yeah. I moved to NJ just when they announced a Newark hub. I feel like I won the lottery...
Jet Blue does offer options for baggage charges. I usually go with the fare that includes one bag. I don't nickle and dime these folks because I really appreciate their service and professionalism.
I've also never been on a flight that was late anywhere. Hubs and I thought they might 'over estimate' arrival time so they can say they were early. I don't even care. LOL.
Another fan of Jet Blue here. We fly (or used to) to Florida a lot and it's great to have non-stop flights for a very reasonable cost. I always upgrade to the extra legroom and it's totally worth it.
JetBlue has an excellent reputation. Spirit, on the other hand, is the American aviation equivalent of living on the street in a cardboard box. By the time you get done paying all of their fees, you could have flown on a much more reputable carrier.
Jet Blue does have a smaller fleet than the Big Four carriers and historically they’ve had fewer options if the weather went pear shaped, but the American partnership should help them improve service recovery during irregular operations

Who is going to help American? They haven't actually had a great time lately.

The OP is looking for a reliable airline. The only airlines that fall into that category are: 1. Delta and 2. United. The others fall way behind those two regarding on time dependability and low flight cancelation rates. Southwest and Spirit are especially bad.
