I'm currently house hunting (which is not as fun as I had originally thought ). Does anyone know anything about the Windsor Mill area? We have been looking in the Catonsville area, mostly older Catonsville, but I stumbled across a couple listings in Windsor Mill and they seem very affordable. Is this because they are in a crappy location? Any opinions are appreciated!

I work in the Windsor Mill/Woodlawn area. I wouldn't want to live there. It's a combination of big government (Social Security / Medicare), industrial, and a lot of multi-family dwellings.

I looked in Catonsville too when we were looking. We saw a wide range of houses; I think you have to be patient to find the right thing in that area.

The area has a lot of young people, with some nice condos and apartments. If you are looking for a a place with more yard space but in a similar price range I would suggest Arbutus on the other side of Catonsville.

We're would like to stay under $250k. I was actually considering looking on the other side of Catonsville. The area of Catonsville that I like, I can't afford. So it looks like I need to broaden my search.

Are you limited to Baltimore County or are you willing to look at other areas as well? When you say we, are you referring to a couple or a family? How many beds/baths and such?

I'm not limited to Baltimore County, but I would prefer it. I work in northern baltimore county and my fiance works in woodlawn, so I would like somewhere that is convenient to both. It's just the two of us and a black lab
I've found a lot of properties in our price range, but I'm not familiar with a lot of areas in the county (I grew up in AA county)
