I live in Owings Mills and work in Capital Heights. I take 795 to 695, then I70, 32east, I95 to 495 south in the morning. I luck out during the morning hours, but going home is a different story. I get out of work at 3:30 pm, and I have been taking 495 to I-95N to 695 then to 795. Just curious as to whether or not there is a BETTER route to take going home? Today, it took me 2.5 hrs to get home because of 2 #($# accidents caused by semi-trucks. I had a complete meltdown because of it
For the life of me, I cannot understand why people cannot just drive like normal human while on the freeways!

That is a god-awful commute. When you say you take 70 to 32 east, do you mean 70 all the way out to the exit for 32??? That seems to be way out of the way...if you don't hit much traffic when you go in, it's much shorter to take 695 all the way to 95.

If you don't like trucks, you can take 295, but the traffic isn't much better, if at all. To avoid the 70/695 area, you can take 100 to 29 and use some of the local roads to get to Owings Mills, but you may not really save much time that way either.

GoPhils,

I looked on Google just now and here is what I take to work: Sorry my brain is fried after driving today
795 ->695 ->70W -> 29S ->32e ->i95-->495 and the only reason I go that route is because I stop in Ellicott City to go to Einstein's

Its 45-50 miles each way and takes you through some pretty congested areas. You need to either move or get a new job (or continue to suffer daily).

You're going in an unproductive extra long loop.
There ARE other bagel shops to use... the best of which are closest to Owings Mills

Try one of these (depending on day by day weather & accident reports):

795 ->695 -->I95 --> straight down to 495
795 ->695 -->I95 --> 195(BWI cutoff) -->295 -->201/Anacondia --> Central Ave (214)
795 ->695 -->295 -->201/Anacondia
