I've tried to contain myself but the last few days have been a nightmare!

Besides the mess on I-83, it's also the backroads and downtown:

1. Falls Rd / Cold Spring = a mess!

2. Maryland AVE in Mt. Vernon = also a mess!

3. St. Paul St at Baltimore = huge mess!

4. HARBORPLACE = Light/Pratt = the worst downtown

5. HARBOR EAST = President ST/Aliceanna

How is everyone else coping with all of this? Any suggestions for "alternate" routes?

Thanks!!!

Default Re: Can someone effectively xplain the DELUGE of road/utility work right now!?!

Biking from an apartment off of Northern Parkway to "downtown" every day seems like a bit much

My best suggestion is to leave for work early...it makes a big difference, as I learned by oversleeping this morning. For the afternoon commute - stay near work and go to happy hour

Well it's downhill on the way there !!

(but uphill on the return).

A new suggestion:

or

Depending on where on Northern Pkwy you are, either of these could be pretty convenient.

I am pretty sure most of the work is for the revamping of the sewer system which has been occuring for quite a long time now and will continue long into the future. Ultimately, our city, state and bay will be a bit cleaner once completed.
