Just curious... (if I did this right, there should be a poll)

Why would I leave because of the Grand Prix? I don't get it. I'm not a big fan of car racing but I can go on and live my life.

I left last year. I won't be venturing south of Mt Vernon this year.

I'm already sick of the f-n race.

Crazy gearhead coming over to Bmore looking forward to this. This is going to beat that car show I recently went to in Aberdeen which was full of ***hats and idiots doing burnouts.

I don't live in Baltimore, but I work downtown. The last few days I've been working from home to avoid the traffic jams created by the rerouting of traffic. Not a fan, but I hope the event is successful for the city's sake.

Spent all day yesterday at the grand prix for the ALMS race. Went last year for the Indy cars, but have to miss them this year (can't be down there today for that race). It absolutely makes the city look good on TV. The crowds were huge and this wasn't even the headline race.

My seats:

It's my favorite event of the year.

Looks like some seats in the grandstand are still available.

Really, this is something one would expect to find in Chattanooga, Shreveport, or Peoria, not Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia or New York.

Lucky you got grandstand seats! Had to settle with GA.

Though I'm disappointed in the amount of penalties that were given by the officials. So many accidents (heck, look what happened in the beginning of the race in Turn 1). Oh well, looking forward to next years' race.

I like having the race in Baltimore. It brings in money, true probably not as much as people wanted but at least it something.

I work downtown, and I got a decent view of the race from the office. Not sure why anyone would leave the city because of a 2-3 day event. Rather you drive, use the metro, walk, etc it really was not rocket science getting around.
