Im interested in a townhome complex on 25th near Greenmount.
Am I crazy for considering this?

Also Central Park Heights and Dolfield are on my list as well.
Which of these are the worst?

Sounds like you must be on a tight budget. Given the choice, I would pick the apartment near York and Northern Pkwy. Better location with more amenities in the area.

Second choice? 25th near Greenmount.

I'm trying to save up for a few things so I cant really afford to live near the harbor anymore.

I have a couple of friends that live in Park Heights. That area was completely ignored by the city during both of those major snowstorms a few years ago. No plowing, nothing! I would stick to areas in North Baltimore. Belvedere Square makes your choice of York and Northern way more attractive than the other options.

Thanks for the input.
I always liked that area north of Govans.

York and Northern Pkwy...do not move to 25th and greenmount. I know of 3 killings on 24th and greenmount that I remember from just over the past two years. If you want to move near that area go a little further up 25th to Charles Village.

I grew up on that side of town...stay away from Greenmount...not worth it...I've never been in trouble there, but it's not a positive place at all

HandsupThumbsdown lived in Waverly for several years. I would send him a PM and pick his brain.

It depends on which corner you are on. The Northwest corner is Harwood, which is ok. The southeast corner is Barclay (bad), The southeast corner is East Baltimore Midway (bad). The northeast corner is "Better" Waverly (bad).

Central Park Hts is the ghetto.

Are you looking for a Townhome (or rowhome) ? Maybe consider Ednor Garden, Okenshawe, or the section of Waverly along 33rd just east of Greenmount/York...I would definately stay away from Central Park Heights. There are a few good blocks in Harwood or Old Goucher that are very livable as well.

How did Central Park Heights get on your radar? The Metro Subway Station there at W. Coldspring? Though in most urban places.. having a subway station in your neighborhood means something.. this is not a place where having one means much....unfortunately....
