We are looking to buy a house and are tending towards building a new house. We are considering a builder who is adding more houses in a development. At the same time we found a 3 year old house with almost the same style and footage being sold. We are not averse to buy this resale house if it is a good deal. At present their asking price is about the same as that of new houses being sold in the neighborhood. We know that the sellers have already moved to a different part of the county for a new job. So, we are thinking we might be able to negotiate a good price.

We are wondering what would be a good deal for this house. We are not in a hurry to move. So, getting a new house built is not off the table. If the sellers are unwilling to bring down the price, we intend to buy a new house.

We would like to hear what other forum members think about this. I will be very grateful to all opinions.

Sounds like you should post this in the county.

The county???

You will get many more and better responses if you take this to the real estate forum or the house forum. The moderator should have suggested this, but I don't think there is a moderator on the Baltimore forum.

Hi James,
Thanks for your suggestion. I have posted in the real estate forum taking your advice. I hope I get some useful suggestions there.
