Still definitely going to go to at least a few more O's games. Maybe this weekend.

The Mets are on the market for a big bat and could certainly provide the types of prospects the O's and other teams are looking for. I was so skeptical almost to the point of disillusioned a couple of weeks ago about the Mets' ability to get the players they needed to improve the offense enough to be a playoff-caliber club. Sandy Alderson and the Wilpons are very well known for sitting on their hands and doing nothing while the team squanders. But, they did a small trade a few days ago to bring in Uribe and Johnson from the Braves and both have already made an impact (Uribe got a walk-off hit for them yesterday in the 10th to beat the Dodgers - a game that Greinke started). And all signs indicate that they are not done yet. I am so happy to see the Mets actually going for it. It makes me really excited!
Yeah, my beloved O's are betrayed at the front office more or less, a problem since Moose went to the Yankees in that late 1990s, beginning our slump (big bust contracts to Albert Belle and Scotty Erikson made Angelos gunshy).

DG I hope your Mets make a run, it'd be great!

They've already been connected to Upton, Zobrist, Clippard, Tulo, and Simmons among others. The wheels are turning!

Clippard is now a Met.

Walk-off by Weiters in the 11th. Markakis got not one, but two ovations, nice to see him, always liked Nick.

Yeah, I'd like to see my O's step up.

Super psyched about Clippard. He'll give the pen a huge boost.

Always love seeing the O's beat the Braves.

While I doubt the O's can catch the Yanks, they could easily sneak in via Wild Card and the playoffs are all about pitching; I don't think the Yankees have the pitching caliber needed to be successful in the postseason. Sadly, I don't think the Orioles really do either.

Have faith, O's fans. No matter what happens, the O's can't possibly be more embarrassing than the Mets trade that never was last night.

Went to the O's game yesterday. Pretty bad loss.

At least my Mets are in first place.

Just got back from family vacation, took a blissful break from everything, including MLB, but now I'm back...
