I visited a dentist today and they quoted me for about 2K for 2 root canals after insurance. Do you know of any good/economical dentist in the area?
thanks!

Just a quick look up on google showed this dentist in that area gets good reviews. Joseph M. Vargas Address: 1667 Crofton Center #7, Crofton, MD 21114 Phone410) 721-2424. I have been finding a lot of good dentists are starting to go with not accepting any insurance these days. Good luck in your search and hope it goes well.

That's roughly OK, although expensive. Dental insurance is normally never worth it and covers very little. In the top things never to buy in 2016/2015, Dental insurance seems to be in the top 10.

If you want cheap and good work I suggest the University of Maryland Dental school. They do good work for much cheaper, also they take insurance. I would also get the billing codes required from the dentist and call dentist after dentist. You will find that dentist in the city and in poor areas tend to be a little cheaper. Crofton is an expensive area and a dentist in that area will likely take advantage of that fact.

If you don't mind a trip to Columbia try Dr. Andrew Stanek. I've had a couple root canals there and my payment to him was around 250 each when I had some pretty lame insurance like Met Life.
