We just moved into this community and now we have a rookie driver/house wife neighbor. Both our kids go to the same school and hence kinda friends. She drops off her kid in the morning to school so does I.

But, being a rookie driver(as per her bumper sticker), every single day, her garage door opens in the morning, and there comes out a super sonic jet 'Honda Civic' (in reverse) from the garage.
I understand shes not doing this on purpose, but we had an 'almost hit incident' the other day when it was raining and as I was passing by her house. She doesnt look, just push down on the gas with her full weight I guess lol. Not quite sure how to handle this situation, don't want to be that neighbor who just moved in and start pissing off neighbors. But if she is not made aware of what is happening, there will be an accident for sure moving forward. Especially in the morning when all are starting to work.

Should I talk to the family itself or reach out to HOA and let them handle it? She even drives around her kid everywhere after school. I don't think its a good idea with her driving style especially she don't use blinkers when making turns. As far as I know, rookie drivers are not allowed to drive without an experienced driver next to them. Let alone driver around a kid. Is that true?

Any tips greatly appreciated.

Put a sign in her front yard, "WATCH OUT FOR THE CRAZY DRIVER THAT LIVES HERE!"

I think you would get more responses and better advice if you put it on another city-data forum, such as real estate/HOA or even psychology. Good luck and stay out of her way!! LOL
