I live in Charles Village and I've never had a problem. During Covid when I wasn't working I would frequently walk these streets late at night just for exercise. A lot cooler for brisk walks at night as opposed to during the day.
I'm contemplating a move to Mount Vernon this summer but now that may not happen. That said I have no problem living in this city. In fact I like living in Baltimore. I have either lived in or visited this city often for 50 years. Never a problem. That said I am not nor do I have any reason to go into areas where I do not feel safe. I do suggest to anyone to be vigilant at all times, not just in Baltimore but anywhere, especially big cities.
