Hi there,

I am visiting a friend who just moved to Baltimore. She indicated that the Lexington Market stop is the closest to her new place and that myself and the other person with whom I am traveling could save some cash and take that instead of a cab. After perusing the forum it looks like that would be fine if we were arriving daytime, but we will likely be getting off the train around 7:30. I am very comfortable with public transportation and have taken subways/buses in various cities in the US and abroad but I am also aware that two women getting off a train, bags in hand from the airport, present a vulnerable picture, regardless of their experience. My friend is 1) very new to Baltimore and 2) can be oblivious to these sorts of situations, so I was hoping for others's opinions on whether we can take the light rail as long as we are smart travelers or if its too risky and we should spring for a cab. Thanks so much!

Use it. That's what its there for. Or, get off at the stadiums and take a cab.
