I'm sure anyone who is a baseball fan knows about Lou Piniella and his crazy reputation. I love the new commercial where he is screaming his head off but only nice things are coming out of his mouth. Cracks me up! For all you Lou fans he has a new thing called Lou's Daily Affirmations (http://www.aquafina.com/affirmations/ - broken link) with a new tip each day. It's a little silly, but also fun!

I remember when "Sweet Lou" was the manager for the Reds. He was a very interesting guy and very fun to watch.

I love Lou. Nobody throws first base ... literally ... like he does.

Thanks for the link!

Ah, Sweet Lou! Glad you guys enjoyed the link! My favorite affirmation so far: Nothing says passion like a vein protruding from your forehead. Haha! It's fun to have a little laugh during the middle of the work day. I hear he now calls himself a "reformed nice guy," but I think past stories about him are hysterical!

Haha! What a picture! He looks just like he does in the commercial screaming his head off- "Say hi to the misses!" That other guy looks like he isn't backing down though! haha!

Default Lou Wins - Period

I have to give Lou credit for this: He wins. He has turned losers into winners ever since he got into managing. I still credit him as the guy who practically saved the Seattle Mariners franchise. The M's gained immediate credibility under his leadership and they began a winning tradition during Piniella's tenure. He's still well-liked in Seattle and M fans should be grateful. And he was successful in Cincinnati, too. Now, he's in his second year managing the Flubs, and so far, he's done about as much as you can ask of him and he has actually exceeded my expectations in the last year. My Astros may have lost Monday night to the Flubs, but Lou is very good at getting the most out of his players, and you have to give him credit. I just hope the Astros come back and take their series at home. It's too bad he didn't stay around in Tampa Bay. Just look at them now.
