The Blue Jays had a player at the game?

I assume there was at least 1 BJ at the game. I can't recall a player at the moment, but I'm sure the AL All-Star roster would mention it.

Yeah, that was a great opening.
I remember seeing most of those guys play watching games on TV.
I was at the old Cleveland stadium one night back in the 70's when Gaylord Perry won his 20th game of the season.
Wish there was somekind of time machine that could turn back the years and have those guys play on the same team.
Talk about a dynasty.
There used to be rumor going around that Bob Feller struck out some batter on a called 3rd strike and the batter ask how the ump could call strike 3 on a pitch thrown so hard you couldn't even see it. The ump said "it sounded like a strike'.

I agree.

It was decent, but nothing real special IMO.

Who the heck cares about the pregame show? It was the game itself that will go down in history ... much like Yankee Stadium.

I usually don't care about any pregame shows either, but it was so cool to see all those retired players who played when I was a teenager and young adult (yep, I'm old). I remember meeting many of them in person and to see them that night, for the first time in many, many years, even decades, was just moving to me, especially when our current all stars came out to shake their hands and stand side by side. It just did something for me emotionally. I actually thought after that the game was anti-climatic.

LOL, It can't be.....it's impossible. haha, their last names are different also, but it would be pretty funny if Matt Holliday homers off of Roy Halladay

Yeah, I know the names are slightly off, but they seemed close enough.

Yeah, that would be cool of Hallady pitched to Holliday. Or better yet, if the BJs and Rockies played each other in an inter-league game in CO where Halladay could pitch, if Toronto ran out of pitchers and had to use a position player to pitch, then perhaps Halladay could homer off Holliday.

Now I'm just being silly.
