He does have a history of anger blow-ups, but there weren't any incidents with the Rangers last season. The key is to not be a distraction, and, secondly, he has to produce at the plate. Bradley will provide a much-needed lefthanded bat in a lineup that needed another hitter. But this is also Bradley's fifth team in five years.
But this is also Bradley's fifth team in five years.
Which probably explains the offer of three years at $30 mil instead of five years at 50 or 60. (Thirty million dollars to a player who's been with five teams in five years...now I'm waiting for someone to try and tell me that there's any reality remaining in the sports world.)
I have followed Bradley's career a bit, and think that he has mellowed as he has gotten older. I'm not too worried about his being a distraction at this point, just the history of injuries.

Agreed. Bradley had a productive 2008 and looks to be a much better investment than say Fukudome.
He should be at least as good, however Fukudome was really great in Japan, and might be a bit better this season. His history in Japan indicates an up and down performer, so I wouldn't be suprised if he adds 30-50 points to his batting average.
Great. Once again, my Rangers are showing their incompetence wtih keeping key players
