Good to see people stepping up; not sure he is a starter but Pence has brought even more energy to the squad. Enjoying this ride a ton!

They are definitely a fun team to watch and to root for. 7 games up on the braves and 30 games over .500.

If they have the long ball working in the playoffs it's a lock. It was nice to see Victorino hit the quadruple double last night (HR's, triples, doubles, stolen bases).

This would have made national headlines if it happened in Philly (along with numerous tired mentions of booing Santa Claus):

Gotta love that Pence was the first one off the bench out to get to Whiteside and keeping anyone from piling on Polanco; then was right back in when Shane re-entered the fray. He just has brought energy back to the team, looks hungry. I for one am glad to have this soft-spoken carry a big stick Texan on the team. Seems to be a great fit. Oh yeah follows that up by going yard...

Mayberry is probably a good 4th outfielder and on a weaker team possibly a starter. Brown has much better overall potential and will be the starting left fielder next year. I would not be surprised if Mayberry is traded during the off season.
