I stopped watching for several years but it's been hard not to get excited this year. Love me some good Rockets basketball, and I really think they can do it this year.

They had the number 2 seed till sandatonio sweep them last weekend.

Probably going to be another disappointing year (there only 2 games left). Luckily my expectations are low after years of disappointment.

The Rockets need to start making free throws, especially down the stretch, or its going to be one and done again....

The Rockets need a new coach if they want to go further in the playoffs. McHale is OK.

Looking at who has posted - and where I normally see their posts... this thread was moved here from the Houston thread area. So don't be too hard on them. The last three comments before yours are on the mark however.

Free throws...

Dwight Howard: 52.8%
Terrence Jones: 61.1%
Josh Smith: 52.1%
Joey Dorsey: 28.4%
Clint Capela: 10.5% (lol)

For those not following them for the season... those last two - actually improvements over the last few games.

And Clyde cries teams like the Spurs go to hack-a strategies. "It's a sign the Spurs are scared of the rockets"

Lmao bull! It's a sign your team can't shoot FTs

Yeah - I know. Pop is just playing the percentages.

Interesting that Bullard said that Morey is OK with hitting one of two free throws on the hack strategy because on average, they score 1 point per possession. Something just doesn't sit right about being content with hitting one of two free throws.

Oh yeah... tonight Capela 2-4, Dorsey 1-2. Those FT percentages continue to rise
