Pretty awesome event going on right now - Full-fledged movies, Documentaries, Shorts, etc.. $11 a movie if you buy online, $12 at the door and $125 for a full pass: BendFilm Festival - Independent Narrative, Documentary, and Short Film Festival

Or you can just volunteer and go to all the movies for free

Welp, to report back: I didn't see a 'bad' movie all 4 days and every show I went to - pretty much every block - was at least crowded or even sold out.

I've been to the last 2 years and this one was the highest quality films throughout.

Some amazing shorts this year especially and I'd say 80% of the films I saw had the director and/or actors there taking questions afterword. Most of em' prefaced their answers with two things: How much they were charmed by Bend and how they were told it was suppose to rain the whole weekend, but hardly sprinkled.

Thank you for posting the followup. This is the type of event that would interest me if I were living in Bend.

Particularly on a "typical" rainy weekend in Bend.
