Looks like I'll be in or near Kona on Easter Sunday. Any recommendations for Protestant Easter services?

I just Googled "Protestant Churches Kona" and didn't find any. Lots of churches of other denominations, though.

I found 37 listings using "Kona Church" as my search term. Maybe half are Protestant. ALL of those will have Easter Sunday services. Drill down into details for a personal match.

We really like Living Stones, it's the one on Alii Dr. at Royal Poinciana, right on the water. It's where we regularly attend. They're having a 6:30am sunrise service on the lawn, and then services at 9:00 and 10:30am in the normal format (you can sit inside the building or out to the side under the sun shades). The website is: Living Stones Church - Building a Culture of Faith

I'm betting that you'll find the listings in the local newspaper.

I found lots of churches in Kona, but none listed as Protestant. Catholic, yes. Baptist, yes, etc. No Protestant. Anyway, I think that JoDan should be able to find a church to go to on Easter.

Ah, I see the confusion... Protestant is a general term that is commonly used for Christian churches that are not Catholic. So Baptist, Methodist, Disciples of Christ, etc. are all considered Protestant denominations. There seem to be 25 or so on this list...

I used the general term "Protestant" because I was not looking for a Catholic church. Got nothing against Catholics, but I'm a Baptist. I've attended some Baptist churches on the Big Island and was looking to broaden my experience. The Living Stones Church looks interesting and I'll probably go there.

Again, sorry for the confusion!
