I'm in the process of buying a house.
Want to check the historic transaction prices. Does anybody know this kind of website? For instance, if a house is sold a couple of months/years ago, where can I find the transaction price?
Thanks in advance,

NY2AL

As cpg* mentions, zillow.com is one option.
If you google for the address and open any of the real estate websites, most will have the price trend listed somewhere on the page. I am not sure how authentic the price trend shown may be, but they are there.

Just and FYI....Zillow often times is WRONG. As a Realtor who has clients using Zillow and Trulia, the data is actually more wrong than right.

Data on history of sales is generally in the local MLS. If you have a Realtor (or even if you are just going thru the listing agent) they can easily provide that info for you, including how long the house was on the market and any seller concessions that were given at closing.
