Does anyone know of a good band practice/rehearsal space in the Birmingham area (preferably downtown) that could be rented? Basically my band is looking for a good place to practice on nights and weekends (we all have real jobs during the day).

It is mainly for our own amusement, so obviously we aren't looking to spend a lot. We just need somewhere with electricity and a little space where we don't have to worry about complaints from the neighbors. An old warehouse or something like that would be perfect, especially if we could leave our gear set up so we wouldn't have to lug it to and from every practice.

I think I remember seeing something in Avondale was available. It was posted on Craigslist in the Musicians section. Go do a search in that section for Avondale and see if you can find it. It might have been just a daily-rental-type-thing for when you want to set up on an actual stage. But it could be a place to start. And maybe ask folks at the music stores if they know of anything. And there might be bulletin boards in the music stores.
