can Birmingham feel like the weekend sunday thru sunday or is Birmingham just a weekend city? thoughts. my opinion the majority of people don't wanna play during the week for varies of reason and wait on the weekend to let loose? most events are scheduled for the weekend. so could people support events and nightlife happenings during the week like the weekends?

I like where your head is. I think the folks who "play" during the week probably don't have the M-F traditional jobs, kids in school (or at all), and have perhaps a little more expendable income. Easier to "play" when you can "pay". For us, M-F has become what it has for many: just a slog of survival.

Also going to say that our weather here is not ideal. No big revelation there, but the wet damp cold of winter transforms to the wet damp, humid of summer. A lot of people just aren't comfortable with this climate. I know I've pretty much lived here my whole life, and the gray gloom is finally wearing on me in my late 30's.
