I have created a MySpace that is devoted mostly to the Birmingham area. This site contains Birmingham architecture, peoples of influences, artists, events and a few images from the Black Belt region.

Good deal. If you want to do more freelance, you should attend meetings of the local AIGA and start networking with the other photographers in the area. The really good ones are always willing to help out guys like you with talent.
