Default Moving to Birmingham - Looking for apartments to rent

Hi, I am moving to Birmingham, Alabama. I got a job and will be working in the Birmingham area with a zip code of 35215.

I have a 22 month old child and will need to put my child to school eventually.

I am looking for apartments only to rent. Any suggestions in terms of city or apartments which would meet my criteria of safety, good schools and as close as possible(20 -25 minutes drive) to zip code 35215.

Appreciate any help.

35215 is Center Point/Birmingham. Most of the apartment complexes in that area ar 35+ years old and don't attract the best renters anymore. If it were me, I'd look in Trussville. There are some complexes in Trussville 15 years or younger, and the school system is good there. You will probably find others like you who aren't ready to buy yet for whatever reason, but want into Trussville for the schools and are renting. But the rents will be higher there.
