My husband and I relocated to the Boise area almost a month ago and are hoping to purchase a home soon. One of the homes we are considering is on Harrison Blvd. near Hill Road. We really love the house and think the street is beautiful but we are wondering how bad the traffic gets and if it is going to get worse as development continues. I was hoping a local with more time in the area might be able to shed some light for us.
Harrison does get a lot of traffic going through it as people like to drive down and look at the houses. Halloween time makes this street a popular destination for trick or treaters. Probably the best thing to do is contact Boise planing and zoning and ask for their 5year and 10 year plan for that area (if they have one). Just be aware that even though they might have a plan for that area it can change, but it will give you an idea of what they might be thinking for the future. It's a beautiful street. Oh phone number for planning and zoning is 384-3830.
Harrison is a beautiful street & one that people like to go on Sunday drives through. People love to look & gawk at the homes. If you are okay with having that much attention towards your home, I say do it. People will be impressed when you say you live on Harrison. I don't think the traffic gets that bad, not backed up or a stans still or anything. Good luck!
