We are flying into Boise on Saturday afternoon and leaving early Monday morning. We want to do some scouting around for a possible relocation this Summer. We are looking for neighborhoods and schools. We initially thought about Hidden Springs but we are starting to hear some strange things about that neighborhood. We enjoy outdoors activities such as mountain biking and hiking so neighborhoods like that are what we are looking for. Also, we may be interested in equestrian neighborhoods in the North or East side of Boise. We currently have horses and will probably bring 2 or 3 with us.

Any suggestions on how to spend our 2 days?

Not going to have much luck with horses in the North or East ends.

My husband and I are headed to Boise for a week this month to do relocation assessment as well. We found it helpful to contact a Real Estate agent in advance who knows our interest this time is purely "tire kicking" and she was most helpful in putting together a "drive by" list of homes and neighborhoods that meet our needs as we described them to her. Have you considered doing the same with an agent?

In addition to a day or two of that acvitity, we plan to visit things like the Greenbelt trail, downtown, drive by places like shopping centers and hospitals, eat out at local restaurants and so on to just get what we call a feel of things for the lay of the land. The "what would it feel like to live here" kind of thing. Good luck with your search.

We are lucky to have lifelong friends who are already Boise residents. They have given us some ideas and we have rented a Mustang Convertible so we are ready for an adventure!
