We're relocating to Boise in a month. I've been to Boise a few times and looked at houses in different areas with my realtor. There's a house we are probably going to make an offer on in West Valley (off N five mile and W McMillan). Just curious what people's take is on West Valley.

I'll be working at Micron and my husband will not be working (he'll look into buying a prexisting business at some point to run).

Also, what's a good place to get furniture/mattresses/appliances and such? Good meaning a good price and quality.

Thank you - I'm very excited to start our lives there in a month.

Used to live one mile further west off of Cloverdale and McMillan. I really liked the area and it puts you close to DeMeyer Park which has a nice "stream" (it's an irrigation canal that they landscaped) running through the park.

You are 10 minutes away from most anything you need along Eagle Road and 15-20 minutes from downtown and all of the great hiking trails in the Boise foothills. If I ever move back to Boise I would not hesitate to move back to that neighborhood.

It's a good neighborhood. Keep in mind that it'll be quite the commute to Micron, especially if you work regular business hours and are fighting traffic.
