DH and I will be in Boise over Halloween weekend. We are 24 & 25 yrs old. Is there anything going on that we should check out? We are into family friendly things (no kids of our own) and the bar seen as well.

The extended forecast shows highs near 50 which is typical for late October.
Harrison Boulevard is the most popular street for trick or treating, it has a lot of large historic mansions.
The Old Idaho State Pen off Warm Springs Ave has events for adults and downtown usually is a big party on Halloween night. There is also a Haunted Trolley Tour.

Just purchased tickets for the trolley and state pen (the packaged deal).

One more question: we will only have time to go to one brewery while in town and my husband is a big fan of them... Since we can only go to one, which would you recommend.

My personal favorite is Sockeye largely because their signature beer (Dagger Falls IPA) is my beer of choice. Their other beers are good too but IPAs are my favorite and Dagger Falls is an extremely good one. Payette has good beer as well but I don't like most of their beers quite as well as the Sockeye equivalents.

Also just a side note that 10 Barrel isn't exactly local as it's headquartered out of Bend, Oregon. It's good, but not local.

Sockeye Grill & Brewery | Proudly serving Idaho's #1 beer!

Sockeye is awesome. I also really like Woodland Empire downtown and Cloud 9 at 17th and State.
