Is there a lot of juniper around Boise? What about in the National Forests and mountains? I'm allergic to juniper.

Most of the Juniper forests in Idaho are south of Boise in the Owyhee Canyonlands area.

Juniper is popular as a landscape tree and shrub in Boise.

There is also a restaurant downtown called Juniper

The forest above Boise is dominated by Ponderosa Pine.

So living and working in the valley and playing the mountains to the north I should be fine? I don't plan on spending to much time if ever in the area to the south.

What about in areas around Lewiston and Moscow and even Spokane/CDA?

Here is a link to the allergy/pollen counts for the valley.

It is hard to say if you will be fine, is that the only tree you are allergic to?
