I picked up a book from the library by a Sarah Andrews. The main character is a state Geologist (in Utah) who gets involved in murder mysteries. This book,
Dead Dry
talks a lot about the geology of Colorado and the murder surrounds water issues
I'm not done with the book but I like fiction where I'm actually learning something, particularly about a place or time period so its an interesting read.

I believe the author is a geologist and there are 11 books in the series.

Welcome to the website of author & geologist Sarah Andrews

Sounds interesting and I just checked - my library has 8 of the eleven titles.

Thanks for the recommendation.
