This sounds like a site that might have an answer or an idea. There are "Murder Mysteries". We all know that category. But I am wondering if there is a book category for "Mysteries" which might not include Murder Mysteries. Or, better said, a category of which could include murder mysteries but also other mysteries that are not "murder". I started out just wondering if anyone writes mysteries (classified as such) but does not include murder. Does anyone know of such? I'd like to find such if they exist. Thank you.
Most of the original Sherlock Holmes stories were not about murder, even if the film and TV adaptations skewed toward the more gory crimes. Another series that comes to mind are the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency books by Alexander McCall Smith.

This looks like an informative link. The first one on this list, The Last Thing He Told Me, by Laura Dave, was one I read a few months ago; very suspenseful.
