My daughter's request is much the same. She's a Junior in H.S. and is currently taking AP English Lit, which gives her little time to read what she wants.

Both seem to enjoy books with protagonists who are in their teens and early 20s and anything that takes place in a university setting.

I'm looking forward to hearing your suggestions!
How about gift cards from Barnes and Noble or Book A Million?

I'm more and more becoming an advocate for giving non-fiction to kids. For your son, maybe something related to his major - or something totally new to him. For your daughter, how about biographies, of some notable women, or Persepolis? Or how about etiquette books, which they'll never buy for themselves?

I wouldnt have wanted my parents to buy me books at those ages and I know my kids didnt. They had developed their own reading journey by the time they were early teens.

List of books from them to make your shopping easier.

Or gift card/cash. All teens and adults like cash.
