Just got an email announcing that Lionheart will be out October 4!

Something to look forward to.

It's been available for preorder on Amazon for a while - only in Hardcover or Kindle Edition though: Amazon.com: Lionheart (9780399157851): Sharon Kay Penman: Books - paperback lovers will have to wait.

No, and frankly, it slipped my mind because I had so many other things to read.

Maybe I'll go to the library today and see if they have it.

I'm toying with the idea of ordering it online because she's not very popular in my country and I'd rather read it in English anyway.

I quite liked Ms. Penman's Welsh Princes trilogy of books and 3 other books by her I've read: The Sunne in Splendour, Here Be Dragons and When Christ and His Saints Slept. So, if Lionheart comes any close, I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

You might also want to read Time and Chance, which chronologically comes between Christ and His Saints and Lionheart.

Bumping this, because I wondered if the identification of Richard's III's bones this past week was going to create any renewed interest in The Sunne In Splendour.

The book has actually been mentioned in a couple of threads re Richard on the History forum!

Any other Sunne/Penman readers/geeks excited about the discovery?

I was thinking about rereading it but it always makes me weep copiously so not sure if I'm up for it just yet.

I won it as a Goodreads giveaway - just received it this week. Plan to start it soon.
