This has got to be my favorite comic strip of all time. I have all of the books and can (and have) read them over and over, still laughing every time
Some of my favorites include:
The spiked horse with the mace for a tail ("He's yours if you can ride him.")
The sloth crossing the Autobahn ("The longest hour of Morty's life.")
The horse being ridden by the cowboy-idiot, who manages to run into a cactus in the middle of nowhere ("That's it--I'm steering.")
And, of course, the entire "Wiener Dog Art" book, which is just bizarrely hilarious.

Loved the Far Side cartoons! My all time favorite:

Three dinosaurs standing around smoking cigarettes...

I *so* miss Gary Larson.

I loved the Dinosaur one, too, but a few of my other faves:
Rusty makes his move:
Rusty the dog sprays his mouth with Dog Breath as he prepares to make the moves on the lady poodle.

What dogs hear:
Ginger the dog gets into the garbage and is yelled at by her master, but all she hears is:
Ginger!
*^%&$(#@&%(^)
&@($&*%*^(^^)
Ginger!

Last, the one about the names we give dogs.
The guy introduces his dog to his neighbor as Rex.
Rex greets the neighbor's dogs and solemnly intones his title, which is Vexor, Destroyer of Cats and Devourer of Chickens. The other dogs who are meeting Rex have similar drawn-out monkers, such as Barker of Great Annoyance.

The second one is particularly funny because as a kid, my mom cut this one out and wrote the names of family members on it. I was "The glass is half full!", my dad was "The glass is half empty", my mom was the indecisive/confused one and my brother was "Hey! I ordered a cheeseburger!"

The three lions spitting out chunks as they start to devour the "dreaded tofubebeest". The drawing of the tofudebeest was all blocky and right angles. Cracked me up!

Cows standing around in field smoking and chatting. One of them yells "CAR!" and they all start grazing like regular cows. I think of it every time I drive by a field of grazing cattle.

Yeah, I miss him.

There was one where one spider had snuck up on another spider and scared it, and the resulting pile of web that the spider expressed in its state of fright was under its abdomen.

The one where the guy comes out of the bathroom and a sign lights up that says something like "Did Not Wash Hands". Oh how I wish that was something every bathroom had.
