Has anybody seen or bought any of the titles from this series? Any thoughts as to the quality of the books, quality of translations where applicable, the pricing of them?
any pros or cons as to buying these versus other editions?
thanks in advance, (the usual caveats apply, I have no financial interest in B/N, just curious what other book people thought)
I really like them. I like the presentation (the matte finish of the books and the cover art). I also love that there are a lot of explanatory notes re: the text in the back of the book. It allows the reader to understand the historical context and other, more scholarly aspects of the book much more. In fact, it's almost like taking a mini-lit class where you get commentary from an instructor. They are also very reasonably priced, sometimes less expensive than other paperbacks.
