Hello,
We have recently moved north of Kendall Square in Cambridge and are looking for daycare options nearby for an infant. It's so hard to find reviews online and we don't know many people here. Anyone know of any good places?

First step is to figure out what you're willing to spend. Daycare in Cambridge is insanely expensive.

Up to $3100 if that's what it takes for a good and relatively convenient place. Ideally would be closer to $2000 (5 days a week).

Not sure where you mean by "north of Kendall" (i.e. East Cambridge?) but we use Rock and Roll Daycare and have had a good experience so far. Other daycares in East Cambridge that we looked into are Two Little Owls and the Learning Circle. I can't speak to how good they are though. All will be below your $3100 budget but above $2000. There are several Bright Horizons in the Kendall area which are considered very good daycares in general but they will be even more expensive (still likely below your max budget though).

Has your baby been born yet? Just FYI, the wait lists around here are incredibly long (like, 100+ children). Get on several waitlists as soon as possible.

Thank you! I was hoping to hear good things about Rock and Roll... is there anything you haven't been as happy about there?
We are close to Donnelly Field.
The Central Square location would work too as it's on the way to my husband's work, not sure if you've heard much about that.
Baby is due in early Feb so we are planning ahead...

You need to check with state licensing agency for health safety issues. Agency check for Rock and Roll in East Cambridge showed up complaints and citations for children sleeping on floor mats instead of cribs, loose crib sheets, expired medication. etc

Thanks! That is very concerning. What's the name of the licensing agency or how do I go about making this agency check?

$3100 a month for daycare? Why not just stay home until they are ready for school. That's insane
