Leo Varadkar is set to become the Republic of Ireland's next taoiseach (prime minister) after winning the leadership of the Fine Gael party. The 38-year-old will become the first gay taoiseach and will also be the country's youngest ever leader. He will succeed Enda Kenny as leader of the centre-right party within weeks. If the new PM were to visit Boston next March, would the Allied War Veterans Council (manages the parade) vote to ban him and prevent him from marching?

The Allied War Veterans Council only bans gay groups not individual gay people. Yes it's a backwards and outdated policy, especially in a place like Massachusetts. It amounts to discrimination.
