I think Mayor Wu is just trying to be different (again radical) in her approaches to boston compared to other leaders. But I see right through it. She is just another wealthy transplant to me probably more concerned about her nighttime skin routine than anything else.

I'm sorry but Mattapan does not have much going for itself.
Defintiely not true. They were mainly West Indians by a wide margin. Asian were restricted to one part of Dorchester. And today comprise only 10% of Dorchester.

Americans by and large are not as entrpreneurial as Caribbean immigrants. Boston and other cities have all tried to attract immigrants as a means to find a population willing to remain in older substandard housing and eke iit out by providing face-to-face surfaces. Asians do the exact same thing. But there for more west indians than Vietnamese in Dorchester.

In the 1970s and into the 1980s when Dorchester was mostly white natives with some Black Americans it was still a violent, under-resourced, more abandoned community than it is now. You can very plainly see that in footage from back then and in crime stats.

Boston apprently did want Wu in office, but Boston has become a very different place in the past 10 years not necessarily for the better. Wu won but there's still plenty of people that didn't want her in office. As with any election, the majority who voted won.
I told people many times MCG was an uncouth scammer. I don't really like much Lara myself but I'd vote for her if I could because I belive her vote on the council is important on progressive issues- thats it... I do like and support Julia Mejia, for sure.

But you're deflecting. And admitting to everyone your bias and prejudice. Like I said, because Janey is a black woman from Roxbury

you didn't like her. You never viewed her as an individual of her own thoughts ideas and background. You just associate her with other black women. Which is unfair and racist. She is one of the kindest people I have ever met and loves this city immensely but you would never know because the way she was born makes you conflate her with loathsome people like MCG. Even if they're from different neighborhoods and 20 years her junior.

If everyone in Boston was mandated to vote Annissa Essaibi George would've never made it out of the primary. She wouldve been crushed.

some left and moved south to Maryland Georgia or Florida or to places like Randolph Milton Canto Holbrook Stoughton Attleboro etc. Some Spanish speakers moved to Methuen, Salem, Haverhill, Marlborough, Framingham, Brockton, Taunton, Rhode Island. More came.

There's no appeasing you, really. Because you want something (whites or Asian-only neighborhoods city-wide) that just won't ever happen. No amount of complaining can change that.

The reality is if not for those West Indian immigrants..well you can see the alternative all over the US outside of the northeast and Miami. Not a pretty sight.

You're not a pretty sight. You want people to get all this credit simply because they came to boston. They didn't start businesses, they really didnt do anything except exist. Not what this country/city/state needs.
