All kinds of noise and drinking problems in Southie in recent years. And there has never been any shortage of riff raff.

Surely you know southie has changed a lot. People living there don't tend to be hoodlums of days past. They are generally young single professional or professionals with families.

This article mentions one person who was arrested is from Medford.

they say this parade drew record crowds...I wonder why? Also given the amount of people there and only 11 arrested doesn't seem like a ton...but i'm sure plenty of people did awful things without being arrested.

there are projects in southie which i'm sure have degenerate types...but whether they were the ones all causing issues at the parade seems unlikely

Yeah, and many are young, drunk, loud, arrogant and obnoxious professionals too.

Ok...I'm just saying you can't blame all of the bad behavior on the locals of southie for a parade that draws in many thousands. Why are you so intent on assuming it's southie folks?

Please point out where I said that. Or even implied it. Hint: you can't.

And? Nothing there implies I am blaming it all on people living in Southie. You implied it was mostly people outside Southie, then lectured me for doing what you did, when I didn't. You can't ignore the fact that Southie has a lot of people that could be described as riff raff under the right conditions, but imply it's riff raff from outside causing all the problems. Southie has alcohol-related problems all the time.

Well, I never disputed that possibility so have no idea what you're talking about. The point is that whether most are from outside or not, the area has its share of losers who I'm sure played a role. The behavior needs to be addressed regardless of the origins or address of the particular loser.
