Agreed, partially. But the idea that because this guy was black means more moolah is insane. A white or yeller mother would have "hit the same jackpot", so to speak.

I don't think they would have

Again the Juston root case isn't that different. He was mentally ill, shot and killed by police. How many millions does his mom get ?

The color of the perp is irrelevant. No mother, regardless of color, deserves anything from the city.

welp this mom also got $5M from the city when her son drowned in the ocean of a free city run camp:

I'm the city gives plenty payouts that we don't hear about as well.

well it sounds like this psycho with a knife situation was handled well by Plymouth police:

https://www.boston25news.com/news/lo...FRQ2CPM6MJKYE/

perhaps females are less intimidating...or more training has been put in place. It also sounds like the knife wielding woman was alone with no people close by so maybe that made it easier for the officer to leave until the clinician got there. A taser was deployed on her.

Good job officers.

I will agree with you that yes, it seems like they could shoot the person elsewhere or why didn't they use tasers as they did in the story i just mentioned.

none of us were there for the actual encounter with Coleman. You seem to feel so strongly that he shouldnt have been shot dead...but he was. Some of us are just wondering why his life was worth 5M of the city of boston tax dollars to be paid to his 70 yr old mother. Doesn't add up for me.

Pretty much how it goes.

Bass Ackwards
We live in a country where our police engage in about 50 million contacts with the US population in an average year, and where less than 2 percent of those contacts result in either actual or threatened use of force, and where about 88 percent said they were satisfied with the response and where only 1 percent said they experienced misconduct. So you can place that meme back where it belongs.....on a roll next to the toilet. Be dense, if you wish, but don't try to pass it off as fact.

It's not that hard, but we know some cops are cowards, and they get scared easily. That's not surprising. You still gotta pay up that bread though.
lol, cops don't "wing" people, they shoot to kill or shouldn't shoot at all. You're clueless.
