The negotiations for a possible $80 million super fight between pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao and former No.1 Floyd Mayweather Jr have been stalled and its not because Top Rank promoter Bob Arum and Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer have hit a snag. Its all because of Pacquiao’s reported firm decision to run for a congressional seat in Sarangani.

Pac-Man doesn't duck people. He's just too interested in parlaying his fame into some real power.

Can't say that I blame him for wanting to get into politics before he loses his claim to the throne of "World's best boxer".

That being said, I want to see Pac-Man clobber Mayweather as much as everyone else.

So you don't consider not fighting Floyd, or the countless other great fighters out there, to take on a far less superior fighter in Yuri Foreman, ducking?

Parlaying his fame into real power? In this sport that is called padded ducking, he is still fighting in March, just not one of the better fighters out there. It's not like he is quitting alltogether to run for office, he is choosing to fight a lesser opponent, knowing good and well its a huge gamble to take in fighting Floyd. Plain and simple

Come on now!

Foreman is a belt-holder at a higher weight class. Not exactly ducking talent there. Foreman may not be a HOF type, but he's certainly a world-class talent.

Plus, he'd fight Mayweather if PBF really wanted to fight him.

It also may be an attempt by Arum to make his favorite Jewish fighter a household name.

Arum added,"I mean, we’re prepared to fight Floyd Mayweather but the fight may have to happen on March 13Th, rather than May 1st. We’ll know that tomorrow. If Mayweather doesn’t want to fight Pacquiao, fine, then maybe Yuri Foreman will be a good opponent."
That doesn't sound like Pac-Man's ducking to me...it sounds like PBF would be the one who was ducking if he wont agree to a March 13th bout.

Pacman cannot beat Floyd Mayweather...and he knows it too. So does Floyd. This is a fight that Pacman would like to avoid if he can.
