Just purchased a 1990 Toyota truck, it runs solid, but I'd like to take it an honest, fair mechanic with Toyota expertise (tall order, I know) just to have her looked over for my summer road trip season. Anyone in Bozeman (or surrounding area) have a recommendation?
Thank you!

I recommend Farr Automotive. I've gone to them for years, and they do a fine job.
They are on N. 5th, just north of Whittier school that is on Peach St.

Is that Francis Farr the same Francis who used to work for the Chevy dealership about a thousand years ago? (I'm not sure I ever knew his last name) If so, he was widely regarded as the best mechanic in town.

Wow, I'm glad to hear his shop succeeded. After he left Chevy and opened his own shop, well, last I heard he wasn't really making it, and I never did get around to checking it out (that was about the time I started going across the street to the Ford dealership's shop instead). But that was a long time ago!!

Mind you, back then it wasn't just customers who said "best mechanic in town" -- other mechanics said so too.

Thanks for the info guys, I actually ended up taking it to a Toyota specialist - Rising Sun Toyota Repair, and I'm very happy with the results.
