Well, he doesn't live in any kind of palace or mansion and he doesn't drive around in fancy cars or eat in exclusive restaurants. Of my four trips to India, twice I have visited Dharamsala (McLeod Ganj to be more precise where the exiled Tibetans live) and the place he lives in looks like a run down college dorm. It is good that a Buddhist leader has come out in favor of marriage equality. This is an example of such Buddhist respect for all people.

While not a Buddhist, it's far and away the most appealing religion to me. It's sort of a combination of philosophy and benevolent spirituality/religion.
