I knew that she has been a Nichiren Buddhist for quite a few years, but I had never heard mention of these albums either.

Well, Blow me. Mrs Arq was quite a fan of Tina Turner while she lived here (Mrs Arq, that is, not Tina) . But we never knew she was Buddhist.

As I recall after she left her husband Ike and was at loose end, one of her friends who belonged to Soka Gakkai International invited her to meetings or talked about it with her. So, it's been quite awhile. I was a big fan of hers too.

Not sure how wedded to Buddhism she is or was. She also has a video on the Peace for All mantra from one of the Upanishads. Noble sounds and thoughts in any case.

Lyrics transliterated to English

Sarveśām Svastir Bhavatu
Sarveśām Shāntir Bhavatu
Sarveśām Pūrnam Bhavatu
Sarveśām Maṇgalam Bhavatu

Meaning

May there be happiness in all
May there be peace in all
May there be completeness in all
May there be success in all
