My husband's job is relocating him to the buffalo area in the town of depew. Right now we live in syracuse and pay 730 for a really nice 2 bedroom townhouse. We have two small children and would like to own a dog in the future. We're looking for a house with a yard (fenced preferably) with two or more bedrooms in or very near where his job is located. We're not interested in duplexes. If anyone has any info as to where I could find one or has one we could look at I would really appreciate that. We will probably be able to pay more for rent because of his pay increase. We have to move by November 1st. Thank you.

Higher porice, but new:
Lakeside Village Apartments on Lake Ave Lancaster: brand new and right by a county park and in a historic village and Park Lane in Depew: on a highway. There is east and west; one is new and is more expensive. Brookhaven on Broadway Lancaster. Avoid Lancer Court in Depew( lots of police problems; my SIL lives down the road).

FYI: Depew is a village in the town of Lancaster. It is actually partly in Cheektowaga town and part in Lancaster town. It is south of Williamsville and Clarence and north of Elma, depending where you your husband's job is....

Lakeside is the closest to the village of Lancaster. Brookside is farther out in Lancaster and Park Lane is a complex - some may have townhouses. All are a short ride to Depew. There are townhouses in Stoney Brook, only I don't know if there are rentals (Lancaster). If you look under luxuryaptswny, you find Coventry in Clarence and Windsong in Williamsville. Windsong has townhouses. Both are pricier.

One daughter found an individual townhouse -- an actual 2 homes, built at different times, one 1870s, one 1890s joined together & totally rehabbed -- in Lancaster and missed it; the person before rented. Pretty house on a pretty street. ( it was for $725 plus utilities).

Driving to Depew means either the 33 expressway by the airport or the exit off the Thruway and then streets. Where is the business? It is easier to give ideas if you know where and what cost. There are actually townhouses selling here in the $70K range (older ones)

Check on craigslist.org - usually there are properties for rent there.

Good Luck
