In the coming weeks I'll be visiting Zoar Valley for a day to see the changing of Fall. I'd like to spend days in other areas as well, share some of your ideas of where to go for the best fall folliage in WNY.

Drive down rt 5 or 20 through Chautauqua county, soak in some great views of the lake and the sweet aroma of concords. For foliage, Allegany State Park probably is the best place to be. It gets even better when you venture into northern PA.

Absolutely, the Appalachians are very nice, I've never seen them during fall though. I would definitely love to see WV outside of summer (the only season I've seen it in)

WV, isn't even really that far from here, you can't do it in a day trip, but 3 days is enough. Someone I know had to see her sister there very briefly and got there and back in 12 hours.

Driving through the Catskills or Appalachians during the time leaves change colors is really a beautiful site. I drove through that way when I went to a wedding near the Hudson last fall. Letchworth Park might be nice too. If you want to head to Canada, the area around Niagara on the Lake is quite stunning.
